Compaq 6715B works fine when on battery power. If you connect a AC power, power switch does not turn it anymore. Same thing happens with another power adapter.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

康柏6715B工作正常时，电池电量。如果您连接AC电源，电源开关没有打开它了。同样的事情发生与另一个电源适配器。

你在连接外接电源的时候，是否有电池。没有电池的话，外接电源的问题呗。有电池的话要是不工作我个人觉的应该是保护隔离电路的问题了。这么新的机器没有修过。也没有电路图分析。

I try to use AC power, no battery. It also will not start.

I found out that HP6515b is identical to 6715b.
I think that signal, called ADP_PWRID, that is made from LIMITsignal and goes to U16 (SMSC KBC1070) is not good. I have 3.28V when on battery and 3.17V when on AC power.
I do not know what is SMSC expecting in order to turn the power on

Can somebody help?

6715b I have found the same HP6515b.
I believe that the signal, ADP_PWRID from LIMITsignal generation, and move towards the U16 (SMSC's KBC1070) is not good.
In leg 1, U12:

Check the U12,in normal,the pin5 is 4. V ,the pin5 is 6. V. the singal "adp_en"is low level.
